We all know that drinking water is one of the most important ways to take care of your body. Every body needs a different amount of water each day, usually we’re told to get about 64 ounces a day to keep their body running smoothly. Be sure to ask your doctor how much water you should be drinking. Water keeps you hydrated, helps with digestion and can increase energy levels. Have you had your water today?

Being and staying hydrated is so important to your body. When you exercise your body sweats and you lose water. You have to replace the water you lost by drinking more fresh water. The problem is by the time you’re thirsty, you’re well on your way to being dehydrated. When you exercise it’s important to have water with you and to take hydration breaks. Remember it’s better to start the day with a water goal and work on it over the day rather than to leave it to your body to remind you it needs water.

When you drink water your digestive system just works better. Did you know that? First, water aids in the absorption of nutrients when you eat by helping to break down and move food along.  Your body will actually get the benefits of all those healthy foods you’re eating because of the water you’re drinking. Secondly being properly hydrated means your bowels will move more regularly and easily, which is so good for your body.

Need more energy? Water can help you out! If you’re feeling tired and drained you might be dehydrated. Try drinking a glass of water, wait a few minutes and see how you feel. Every organ in your body depends on water to function properly, chances are if you have no reason to feel tired or sleepy or grumpy your body may just need more water. Try putting yourself on a weeklong hydration trial to see if your fatigue fades away and your energy levels increase. Simply record how much water you drink per day and honestly asses your energy levels throughout the day. See how you feel after a week of being properly hydrated.

As you can see it’s so important to drink all the fresh water your body needs every day.  Being well hydrated boosts your digestion, your energy levels, even your moods throughout the day. You depend on your body to carry you through life and your body depends on you to feed it and water it properly. You only get one body in this life, why not make it the best body you can?
